The term "Bloomer" refers to an undergarment that gets its name from Amelia Jenks Bloomer who invented the garment way back in the 1850’s. The term originally referred to long baggy pants narrowing near the ankles, worn by the women at that time to preserve the significant Victorian decency.
Today the word bloomer is often interchangeably used with the word "knickers" or "diaper covers", especially when referring to baby bloomers. Bloomers or diaper covers are an important part of every baby’s wardrobe. While the bloomers continue to have their baggy look, these today are available with a more adorable & unique whimsical twist. From plain cotton bloomers, they have modified to ruffle & designer ones that let’s your baby have that signature style right from childhood.
